Linear Algebra and Differential Equations
Systems of linear equations, matrix operations, vector spaces, linear transformations, orthogonality, determinants, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, diagonalization, linear differential equations, systems of differential equations with constant coefficients, applications, computer simulations. Intended primarily for engineering students. Prerequisite: Mathematics 202, 212 or 222. Not open to students who have had Mathematics 221 or 356.
