ARC Overview

Students value your suggestions, so please encourage them to visit the ARC when needed - or before!

Below is a summary of our services, but be sure to peruse our website to learn more about what we do and the services we offer.

Learning Consultations

Our Learning Consultants offer individual appointments during the academic year and summer sessions. With emphasis on time management and learning approaches, we work with each student to discover and develop their own academic strategy for success at Duke.

Peer Tutoring and Study Groups

Peer tutoring is available in several courses in chemistry, computer science, economics, engineering, math, physics, and languages. Group tutorial and drop-in tutoring sessions are available as well as study groups for certain math and biology courses.

ADHD/LD Support

Students can access resources such as ADHD coaching and tailored learning strategies, as well as preliminary screenings for ADHD/LD.

Outreach, Workshops, and Classroom Visits

The ARC provides workshops and presentations across campus, to small and large groups, on a range of topics. We’re able to design a workshop tailored to the needs of your class or student group. Visit our outreach request page for more information.

Refer your students to the ARC today! Students in any year, studying any discipline, and at any point in the semester can benefit!
