Director of ARC & Assistant Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education
Kimberly has a sincere passion for supporting students in their academic pursuits. Working as an educator for over twenty years, she has taught students at the middle school, high school, community college, and university levels. As the Director of the Academic Resource Center, Kimberly’s primary responsibility is providing programs and services that assist all Duke undergraduate students in realizing their highest academic potential.
Kimberly earned her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Mathematics Education from the University of Maryland, College Park. She holds a Master of Science degree in Mathematics from Howard University in Washington, DC and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Jackson State University in Jackson, MS. Her professional interests include the transition from high school to college, college student success, professional development, and learning strategies. Away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, serving in her church, and exploring the Triangle region which she now calls home.
